Tony’s NY Pizza - Twinbrooke/GMU

Ordered two cheesesteak sandwiches, and the bread was burnt throughout. I’ve been here multiple times and regularly get dinner here for my family, so this was especially disappointing. The fact that someone prepared these sandwiches, saw the condition of the bread, and still wrapped them up and served them as acceptable food is confusing. We tried to address the issue with the manager, but unfortunately, the response was dismissive and not receptive to our concerns about the quality of the food we were served. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds to them matters. After this experience, I’m not sure we’ll be returning. Good luck keeping loyal customers if this is how legitimate concerns are handled.

I wanted to share a quick story about the incredible kindness and inclusivity we experienced here recently. Going out to eat can sometimes be overwhelming for individuals with special needs. During a recent visit, my son became highly dysregulated while we were waiting. Instead of looking away or rushing us, the amazing staff completely stepped up to help. They immediately jumped into action to support him by offering quick food alternatives to help ease the wait time. They also brought out fresh pizza dough to use as a brilliant, hands-on sensory tool to help him calm down and ground himself. Seeing a local business not just accommodate, but truly understand and lean into sensory and special needs with such quick thinking and compassion means the world to our family. If you want to support a local business that genuinely cares about every single customer who walks through their door, please give them your business. They have earned our loyalty for life!

The 5 stars is mainly for the male cashier and the female busser. Both were so charming and helpful. The pizza was great and the place was pleasantly clean. I had been searching for a quick pizza stop place forever to come with my 2 kids and this definitely is!

Pizza toppings were nearly raw (mushrooms, onion, peppers). Crust was soggy. Definitely would not recommend. I'd be embarrassed serving anyone this pizza. Calamari also soggy and not good. Husband arrived at the pickup time and it was not ready on time. Paid 60$ for a pizza and an appetizer to learn we will never eat here again.

Great pizza, great folks... what else csn you ask for? Seriously- try the grandma's pie - you won't regret it. They also have slices of every variety under the sun so no one has any excuse to say they couldn't find one they like!
